Seder de Pesaj 2023

Pesach is the first and most important holiday on the Jewish calendar; it begins on the day of Nisan, and is celebrated for seven days (eight in the Diaspora), of which the first and last are Sabbaths.

Pesaj (also known as Passover) is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the biblical story of the Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. It is celebrated for seven or eight days, beginning on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan. During the holiday, Jews refrain from eating leavened products, as a reminder of the haste in which the Israelites left Egypt. Pesaj is celebrated in Jewish homes with special rituals, prayers, and meals, including the Seder, a festive dinner that includes symbolic foods. It is a time for family gatherings and storytelling, as well as an opportunity to remember the struggles and difficulties of Jewish history.

Come celebrate the Passover Seder with our community.
