Goodbye Joan B. Culla

We have been moved by the news of the death, which was no less sad because it was announced, of the well-known historian, professor, writer, columnist, scholar of contemporary Catalonia and observer of current political news in the media.

Culla had a close relationship with Israel and dedicated some of his books to its history, such as "Israel, el somni i la tragèdia. Del sionisme al conflicte de Palestine" (2004) and "Breu història del sionisme" (2009).

It is said that on one of his trips to Israel, when passing through the long security checks at Ben Gurion Airport, he showed a photocopy of the Yedioth Ahronoth review of his books, so there were no more questions.

Recently, a massive tribute was paid to him in Barcelona, which he thanked with these words: “I'm glad to provide the most affordable equipment for the trip that remains per fer.”

Thank you, friend Culla. Et desitgem molt bon voyage.
